This kind of music is the modification of Samba the Traditional Brazilian Music, Bossa nova is more complex harmonically, as well as less percussive. Bossa nova became very popular in Brazil. The most popular Bossa nova song is "The Girl from Ipanema", by Astrud Gilberto, that spread the popularity of the bossa-nova worldwide.
